George Weah’s son Timothy scored a record breaking goal against Wales last night

Tim Weah's father George was a former FIFA World Player of the Year, but he never played at a FIFA World Cup. 

Last night , his son Tim scored for the USA in a 1-1 draw against Wales. In doing so, he became the first player to score a World Cup goal against Wales since then 17-year-old Pelé, in the 1958 quarter-finals in Sweden. 

Weah junior who plays his club football for French Ligue 1 side, Lille, dedicated his goal to his family. “ A dream come True to score in my first world cup match. We would have loved to come out of this match will all three points but we take the tie and continue to work. This was for my teammates . This was for USA. This was  for Liberia. This was for Jamaica. This was for my family”.
