Magashule was joined by the former head of the Hawks, General Berning Ntlemeza at a media briefing on Wednesday the 30th of August 2023 in Soweto.

Upon the announcement of the political party, Magashule said his party is a broad collection of interest groups including freedom fighters, the unemployed and religious groups adding that the party will be centred on African nationalism and pan-Africanism.

Magashule was expelled from the ANC in June this year after he failed to make representations to the national disciplinary committee on why his membership shouldn’t be revoked.
