Ace Magashule officially expelled from the ANC

Following the ANC's national disciplinary committee recommending that Ace Magashule should be expelled from the party for his behaviour, the committee has officially confirmed that Magashule has been expelled on Monday the 12th of June 2023.

The party confirmed the news by releasing a statement that clearly outlined that its national disciplinary committee (NDC) met to deliberate on charges preferred against Magashule and found him guilty of contravening ANC rules and its constitution.

"After a guilty verdict by the NDC, comrade Ace Magashule was allowed to show cause why he should not be expelled from the ANC. Upon the lapse of seven days, the NDC had not received any representations to that effect.

Consequently, the NDC confirmed the expulsion of comrade Ace Magashule from the ANC as a final sanction.” the statement read.

Magashule was found guilty of contravening several sections of the ANC constitution for failing to apologise for his decision to suspend party president Cyril Ramaphosa in May 2021.

In his letter to suspend Ramaphosa, Magashule informed the president of his decision to unilaterally suspend him in relation to the CR17 sealed bank statements.
