JCAF presents ‘Otherscapes,’ an exhibition that surveys contemporary South African art through the installations of four exceptional artists: Siemon Allen, Wim Botha, Sethembile Msezane, and Nicholas Hlobo.

‘Otherscapes’ captures the essence of a rapidly evolving city, where art, technology, and research converge. It celebrates Johannesburg's rich heritage while embracing innovative design.

Within JCAF's former tram shed location, visitors will encounter immersive installations that embody the tension between utopia and failure, inviting introspection and contemplation.

Siemon Allen delves into sound, Wim Botha challenges perceptions through intricate sculptures, Sethembile Msezane invokes ancestral spirits, and Nicholas Hlobo fuses materials to explore identity and representation.
