SA Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 24 spotlights eco-conscious collections

SA Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 24 at The Mall of Africa from October 19-21, 2023, emphasises sustainable Slow Fashion, with 90% of designers adopting eco-friendly practices.

As the SA Fashion Week (SAFW) Autumn/Winter 24 Collections unfolds at The Mall of Africa from 19th to 21st October, attendees are in for eco-conscious fashion.

Sponsored by Mr. Price, Mall of Africa, Cruz Vodka, Isuzu, and Carlton Hair, this event marks a significant shift towards Slow Fashion. 

A remarkable 90% of this season’s designers have adopted sustainable practices, prioritising quality, recycling, upcycling, and local sourcing.

One of the highlights is the Mr. Price Scouting Menswear Competition, featuring nine designers like African Renaissance Designs, Bash Studios, D’Kock, and NHLANHLA MASEMOLA, to name a few. 

The event goes beyond just clothing, embodying a culture and attitude that redefine luxury in the modern age, as exemplified by the CRUZ Collective.

In the runway spotlight are the collections of iconic designers like Black Coffee and Mantsho in the ISUZU Collections, reflecting a blend of style and comfort. 

Also, HELON MELON's chemical-free fabrics and Sun Goddess's regal African aesthetic will captivate the audience.

The event's success story continues to grow, with positive reviews from attendees and increasing foot traffic year-on-year, making SAFW a premier destination for top local fashion.
