Joburg Mayor Phalatse and Multi-Party Government to address Soweto residents
The Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Cllr Mpho Phalatse, Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMCs), and City Officials will be in Soweto to address memoranda, delivered to the Johannesburg Metro Centre, relating to, in the main, Eskom.
In an effort to bring City services closer to residents, the City will also setup various help desks from Departments and Entities so that Soweto residents are able to pay their municipal bills, register for the Extended Social Package and, among other things, report matters of fraud and corruption.
The Multi-Party Government is continuing to work with and in communities, as well as advancing service delivery programmes despite the baseless accusations and disinformation campaign by people and political actors seeking to, but failing to, disrupt the work of government.
The Executive of the City will never shy away from the responsibility of directly engaging with communities across the seven Regions of Johannesburg.
