Amakhosi are back in Polokwane

Kaizer Chiefs have announced that they are returning back to Polokwane at the Peter Mokaba Stadium to play their three home DSTV Premiership matches there.

The first of the three DSTV Premiership fixtures will take place on Sunday the 29th of January 2023 when the Glamour Boys take on Royal AM while the second fixture will be against Golden Arrows on the 19th of February with the last fixture being against Swallows FC on the 2nd of May.

With the people in Limpopo having shown Amakhosi love and support over the recent years, Arthur Zwane and his charges are excited to be back again in the Province.

This is the first time in eight years that Chiefs will use the Peter Mokaba Stadium as a home venue after they announced Polokwane as their second home during the 2012/13 and 2014/15 seasons, ironically that was the last time Chiefs also won the PSL title.

Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director Jessica Motaung reiterated that this is the moment that club has been waiting for and they are excited for the upcoming three matches in Polokwane.

"This is an opportunity for us to start this journey on a positive note and there's no better place than the province that helped us win the league and other trophies in 2015," Motaung said.

With Chiefs yet to defeat Royal AM in their three encounters so far, the match on Sunday will be expected to produce fireworks as Amakhosi will seek to break the "hoodoo" against the KZN side.

Tickets for the match between Amakhosi and Royal AM cost R60 per ticket and fans are urged to go to their nearest Computicket outlets, including Shoprite/Checkers, to purchase their match ticket as soon as possible. Kick-off is at 17:30.
