Amakhosi receive a major boost ahead of Richards Bay trip

Kaizer Chiefs have received a huge boost with one of the their key players back from injury ahead of their DSTV Premiership clash with Richards Bay on Saturday afternoon.

Dillan Solomons who has been out of action since suffering a shoulder injury during Chiefs' 2-0 victory against Royal AM on the 29th of January has returned back to training and should be available for selection on Saturday.

Solomons returns at a crucial time when Amakhosi have just strengthened their top 2 finish aspirations alive by defeating arch-rivals Orlando Pirates last weekend and will look to build momentum from that heading to the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

Ironically Solomons returns to action when Chiefs face a team that he scored against during the two sides' reverse fixture last year August when the fullback scored a penalty in the 62nd minute to hand Amakhosi the 1-0 victory.

With Reeve Frosler still out of action due to injury, Solomons might be a regular at the right back position until the end of the season with just 9 matches left.

Amakhosi who are also still in contention for the Nedbank Cup will look to defeat Richards Bay and claim the much needed 3 points as they prepare to take on Casric Stars in the last 16 next weekend at the FNB Stadium.

It is a battle of number 4 against number 5 on the log and even though Richards Bay might be fourth on the log, the odds favour Arthur Zwane’s men to come out on top on the day.

The match at the King Zwelithini Stadium is expected to kick-off at 15:30
