Following the swearing-in of the eight newly appointed MMCs, the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg Cllr Thapelo Amad appointed two more members to his Mayoral Committee.

Rumours have finally been put to rest about who will occupy the final two positions of the Johannesburg Mayoral Council. This comes as the Executive Mayor of the City, Thapelo Amad appointed two additional members to make the full team of the Mayoral Committee.

Following widespread speculations, Kenny Kunene has been appointed as the MMC of Transport, and taking up the portfolio of Health and Social Development MMC is Ennie Makhafola.

In a statement, the Executive Mayor wished the new MMCs well in their new responsibilities and further urged them to spare nothing of themselves in serving the City.

With the mayor having made his mark in his first week of office. Residents are awaiting the further changes Amad will make.
