Rihanna delivered an unforgettable performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show this past Sunday, but what had everyone talking was the unexpected special guest she revealed on stage.

During her interview with Apple Music Radio host Nadeska Alexis, Rihanna expressed her excitement for the show and her involvement in every aspect of anything she does, stating, “if it flops or it flies, my name has to stand by that. And so I really get involved with every aspect of anything that I do...”

A representative for Rihanna confirmed that the global superstar is indeed expecting another child following her electrifying performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. 

The singer hinted at her pregnancy during the performance, which got everyone talking on social media.

Wearing a custom red jumpsuit by Loewe, Rihanna appeared on one of several floating platforms, with a swarm of energetic dancers dressed in white gathering below. The singer dazzled the crowd with her hits, including “We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been,” “Diamonds,” and “Work.”

The decision to rely on her extensive back catalogue, one of the strongest in pop, was a wise one.

Although rumours of new music were not confirmed, the tight 14-minute set was packed with hit after hit. 

The set list did take advantage of some of her best-known collaborations, but without any of her collaborators actually joining her on stage. The show was not short on spectacle, with fireworks exploding above the stadium as she launched into “We Found Love.”
