With the SAFA D License being the entry-level coaching badge provided by the South African Football Association, Motsepe was in attendance at the SAFA D License course this past weekend.

Motsepe alongside Gavin Hunt's daughter Kaitlin Hunt were in attendance along with 37 other coaches that were also attending the course on both days.

One of the major reasons Motsepe who doesn't have any professional football coaching experience is attending the course is he wants to equip himself with the fundamental elements and dynamics of coaching to better understand how everything works from the grassroots level all the way to professional football.

Regional Executive officer of SAFA in Ekurhuleni, Teboho Mahoa said, "It is inspiring to see the Sundowns Chairman in attendance at our D License course, he is really keen about learning more in the business of coaching and since he wants to enrich his knowledge I will advice him to continue with the C and B license once he completes the D lincense,"

The D license usually takes around eight days to complete but with the current course taking place over weekends, the current class will most likely complete the course at the end of March 2023.

As Chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns, Motsepe was presented with the Leadership in Sport Business Award at the Hollard Sport Industry Awards late last year.

The 32 year old has also earned plaudits from the team, staff and supporters alike since taking over from his father Patrice Motsepe after he was elected as the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

With Sundowns on the verge of claiming another PSL title, CAF Champions league title and the Nedbank Cup, Motsepe will be more than happy to celebrate his D license course's success with those respective titles Sundowns might win at the end of this season.
