Tickets are Sold Out

The Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United's Nedbank Cup last 32 encounter seems to be the headline fixture of the weekend as Amakhosi have announced on Thursday that the match's tickets have been sold out.

Chiefs will travel to the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday evening for a clash that unlocks the rest of the Nedbank Cup last 32 fixtures for the weekend.

Coming from a disappointing 0-0 draw against TS Galaxy last weekend, Chiefs will look to start their Nedbank Cup campaign with a positive result and build from that.

The visit to KwaZulu-Natal will also be an important one taking into consideration that Chiefs have not won any silverware in 8 years.

Head coach Arthur Zwane has mentioned that it is not going to be an easy clash against a very good Maritzburg United side, Zwane furthermore stated that the approach will be totally different and the mentality of the players will also have to change because it is not a league encounter rather a knockout match.

With Amakhosi having enjoyed much of the success in the Nedbank Cup, Zwane and his charges will hope to add a 14th Nedbank Cup title and end the season on a high note.

Although the match is played in KZN, home ground advantage will not necessarily matter as majority of the already sold tickets bought are from the Chiefs supporters.

Kick Off at the Harry Gwala Stadium is set to be at 19:30.
