Founded by Bridget Pike, an actress, singer, songwriter and creative director, YAMS started in 2019 in her backyard as a safe space and community for musicians to grow together in front of a live audience.

Since then, YAMS has grown into a vibrant and dynamic community that attracts music lovers and artists from across Johannesburg. This year, YAMS partnered with The Rooftop Vibe, a platform headquartered in Kansas City MO that supports independent music artists and creatives. The partnership aims to further expand and expose the exceptionally talented music artists of Johannesburg to a global audience.
