President Cyril Ramaphosa  will address the nation regarding developments in South Africa's Covid-19 response on Monday 14, evening. The address follows a meeting he had on Sunday with the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC), and a special sitting of Cabinet.

Early in December President Ramphosa made an announcement that South Africa has officially entered into the second wave of the Covid 19 pandemic.

On Saturday the Department of health also released that it has now identified 7 882 new Covid 19 related cases,  bringing the cumulative number of cases to 852 965. People on social media have expressed great uncertainty regarding tonight's address as they do not know what outcome the address will yield.
