African Champions, Senegal down but not out after losing their World Cup opener to the Dutch

The Teranga Lions made two costly errors late in the game  against the Netherlands and were punished  by Cody Gakpo and Davy Klassen

The 2002 World Cup Quarter-finalists, were clearly missing the prolific talents of their injured talisman, Sadio Manne, as they created good chances to win the match but were wasteful infront of goals. 

Next they take on host nation Qatar on Friday, in a game they should win, while the Netherlands face Ecuador in the battle for group A supremacy. 

In Other matches  in Group B, England Thumped, Iran 6-2. 

Today’s fixtures sees 2 time winners, Messi, led Argentina opening their campaign against Saudi Arabia, while Denmark takes on Tunisia. 

Mexico face Poland. Defending champions France face Australia
