Amakhosi announce the departure of Austin Dube

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of defender Austin Dube who joined the club in 2021 on a three-year deal.
Upon announcing Dube's exit Amakhosi released a statement clearly stating that they have reached an agreement with Dube's representative to terminate the player’s contract a year early.
“We are sad to see Austin leaving us, but we felt that it was in the best interest of the club, as well as Austin himself, in terms of the furtherance of his career that we allow him the freedom to pursue other options and opportunities.
Austin has been a model professional during his time with us and we thank him for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs, we all wish him everything of the best," the statement read.
Having made his debut against Baroka FC in August 2021, Dube played 18 matches in the gold and black colours of Kaizer Chiefs, starting 13 times in the process.
