Kaizer Chiefs have announced the departure of midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the month.

Nange joined Amakhosi from Stellenbosch FC in 2021 however, only played a total of 31 games and scored two goals in all competitions.

With Chiefs already beginning their preparations ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season, Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. expressed his gratitude to Nange via a statement that the club released on Thursday the 22nd of June 2023 to officially announce the departure of the 31-year-old.

"On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to thank Phathu for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs over the past two years, it is a pity that injuries prevented him from playing regularly, as I am sure his undoubted quality would have added value to the team, we wish him success in his future endeavours," Motaung Jr. said.

Nange joins Siyabonga Ngezana who also left the club last week after signing for Romanian Lige 1 club, Fotbal Club FCSB.
