New Kaizer Chiefs striker Efmamjjasond González’ arrival has been delayed, as he is still awaiting his Visa.

González who has been linked with moves to the Botola Pro in recent weeks is a product of the esteemed Atlético Nacional academy and was touted as a major prospect.

However, González agreed to join Chiefs on loan early last week, with an option to purchase at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Having scored eight goals in his first 11 games for Real Santa Cruz, there’s real optimism that the towering striker can help remedy Chiefs’ goalscoring concerns this season.

However, they will be made to wait slightly longer for his arrival, with his visa yet to be approved due to Colombia not having a South African embassy.

González’ is likely only to be given the go-ahead by the end of this week before making the trip to complete his move to Amakhosi.

The arrival of González’ also means Amakhosi now have more options upfront with Ranga Chivaviro and Bonfils Caleb Bimenyimana also in the mix.
