After their disappointing 5-4 defeat to Milford FC in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 last weekend, Kaizer Chiefs will now turn their attention to the DStv Premiership when they host Moroka Swallows at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night.

Chiefs head into the encounter at the back of a five match unbeaten streak in the DStv Premiership.

Over their last seven games, Chiefs have scored just four goals, with the lack of efficiency being one of the big issues at Naturena as seen in the Nedbank Cup against Milford FC.

Speaking at the Kaizer Chiefs media day on Thursday the 29th of February 2024, Amakhosi's interim coach Cavin Johnson has reiterated that the team has to move on from the trophy disappointment and strive to keep their momentum going in the league.

"We have to pick ourselves up because the next game is sooner than you think, there is no space in between to lay your head down for long and as football people we have to pick ourselves quicker than you think and we have to help each other to get through the disappointment so that we can prepare for the next league game," Johnson said.

Johnson also confirmed that he has no new injury issues, with Tebogo Potsane, George Matlou and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe being the only absentees.

"We have prepared well and we are over the Milford defeat, while Potsane has a little hernia injury, George is still out, just recovering from operations and TT is still recovering as well," Johnson added.

Kick-off at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night is 17:45.
