Kaizer Chiefs made it two wins in a row as they beat ten man Stellenbosch FC 2-0 in their DStv Premiership fixture at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on Wednesday evening.

Stellenbosch started like a house on fire as they dominated the first half however, man of the match Brandon Peterson kept Chiefs' clean sheet in-tact with numerous great saves as the teams went to half-time deadlocked at 0-0.

Five minutes into the second half the duck was broken, as Pule Mmodi’s excellent strike from 30 yards out beat Sage Stephens to make it 1-0 to Chiefs.

Matters got worse for Stellies, when Devin Titus was sent off three minutes later after picking up a second yellow card.

Just before the hour mark, Petersen made an excellent reflex save low down to deny Iqraam Rayners from equalising, while he was in the right place to make a simple save from Van Rooyen five minutes later.

Christian Saile made it 2-0 in the 89th minute, the substitute heading in from an acute angle to wrap up the result.

Amakhosi will now head back to Gauteng as they prepare for their MTN8 semi-final match against Mamelodi Sundowns at FNB Stadium.
