Venezuelan international Edson Castillo becomes Kaizer Chiefs' latest signing ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

Castillo who is currently with Monagas on a short-term deal will join Amakhosi immediately after his last game against Boca Juniors at their famous La Bombonera home ground on the 30th of June 2023.

The technically gifted midfielder who’s comfortable in a six or eight role made his senior international debut for his country back in 2021 in the Copa America under current Nigeria head coach José Peseiro, who often praised his ability to score goals and provide crucial assists as a major threat.

With Castillo having agreed personal terms with the Glamour Boys, the 29-year-old is set to join the likes of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango and Mduduzi Mdantsane as Chiefs continues to boost their squad ahead of the new season.

Castillo also has a wealth of experience with over 200 club-level caps in his home country, Azerbaijan and Mexico.
