Chiefs welcome Golden Arrows looking to secure their first win in 2024

Kaizer Chiefs welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday night looking to secure their first victory in 2024.

The Glamour Boys are yet to score a goal nor win a football match this year after playing out to a 0-0 draw against Royal AM on the 18th of February before losing 5-4 on penalties to Milford FC in the Nedbank Cup last 32 a fortnight ago and playing out to a 0-0 draw against Moroka Swallows last weekend.

The lack of goals from the Glamour Boys this year means that Cavin Johnson's charges have not scored a goal in 300 minutes.

Heading into the encounter at the back of the goalless draw against Swallows, Chiefs will be without the services of Edmilson Dove on Tuesday night after he received a red card against the Dube Birds.

With an unbeaten record of six matches in the league, Amakhosi will aim at maintaining that streak against a wounded Arrows side.

The last time the two sides met was in October 2023 when Abafana Bes'thende won 2-1 at the Mpumalanga Stadium.

Kick-off at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday night is 19:30 pm.
