Ntseki knows a lot about youngsters as he served in the development department at Chiefs for two years before being appointed as the head coach.

Moreover, Ntseki has coached at junior ranks before firstly as the head coach of the South Africa under 17 national team in 2019 before being called at a youth academy called Harmony Academy which produced stars like Tebogo Mokwena and Sipho Mbule.

So far this season, the former Bafana Bafana coach has not been using youngsters since his appointment as the Chiefs coach with the likes of Mduduzi Shabalala and Samkelo Zwane only making appearances coming from the bench while Wandile Duba is yet to make any appearance this season.

With a lot of concerns from the Amakhosi faithful about the omission of some of these youngsters, Ntseki has outlined what he looks at first before can give any youngster an opportunity to play.

It’s not only for him to be on the pitch to enjoy himself, you have to play within the structure and you have to respect the opponents as you also have to give yourself, you have to give your A-game as a youngster," Ntseki said.

Ntseki furthermore stressed the issue of maturity saying academy players should be mature once promoted to the senior team.

“For youngsters, it’s important as a coach to teach and to develop technical maturity in them and technical maturity comes with the structure and the discipline in possession and possession in terms of carrying the ball, being able to play as quick as you can," Ntseki added.
