"It will depend on Molefi Ntseki's style of play" - David Kannemeyer

Amid Amakhosi signing six new players ahead of the 2023/24 PSL season, former Kaizer Chiefs defender David Kannemeyer has revealed that their success at the club will depend on the type of style head coach Molefi Ntseki is going to use.

Chiefs signed Pule Mmodi, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Ranga Chivaviro, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Given Msimango and Edson Castillo to boost their squad after the departure of Erick Mathoho, Siyabonga Ngezana, Cole Alexandra and Phathutshedzo Nange.

With Kannemeyer citing that these are good signings for the club, the former left-back has also reiterated the only way to witness the best out of Mmodi, Mdantsane, Chivaviro, Msimango, Castillo and Ditlhokwe is dependant on the coach’s tactics and how he uses them.

“It will depend with the coach [Molefi Ntseki] and how he is going to use these players, I am  sure they are good quality players that is why they went for them in the first place, I think it will also depend with the coach’s style of play, if it suits these new signings, then they will perform well.

For now, all we have to do is wait and see how the team will be set-up and how they will gel when the new season begins," Kannemeyer said.

As the new season approaches, Kaizer Chiefs stands on the precipice of change, the club's pursuit of redemption is fueled by the frustrations of the past and the ardent belief of its supporters and the journey towards reclaiming their former glory may be fraught with challenges, but the spirit of resilience and unwavering loyalty will guide Amakhosi forward.
