Mduduzi Mdantsane sets his sight on crucial wins against Cape Town City and Stellenbosch FC

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane has emphasized the significance of winning their upcoming matches against Cape Town City and Stellenbosch FC in order for Amakhosi to climb significantly in the DStv Premiership standings.

Chiefs will face Cape Town City at Athlone Stadium on Saturday the 30th of March 2024 before hosting Stellenbosch FC at FNB Stadium two days later.

Looking ahead to these crucial encounters, Mdantsane acknowledged the quality of both Cape Town City and Stellenbosch FC, stressing the need for Chiefs to be at their best to secure victories against these formidable opponents.

"Both Cape Town City and Stellenbosch are strong teams and winning these matches will put us in a favourable position on the table because every point matters and a couple of wins can quickly elevate us among the top teams, so our  focus now is on Cape Town City, and we are ready to put up a fight," Mdantsane stated.

Despite their recent 3-2 loss to Orlando Pirates in their last match before the FIFA break, Mdantsane expressed confidence in Chiefs' current form, highlighting positive training sessions and team support.

He also mentioned the team's efforts to address defensive lapses and improve goal-scoring capabilities to secure victories.

"I have seen a lot of improvement in the team, and we have been working hard to rectify our mistakes, scoring more goals and tightening our defense is crucial to winning game and our mentality is focused on moving forward," Mdantsane added.

Having returned to the match-day squad after a spell on the sidelines, Mdantsane furthermore expressed his dedication and determination to contribute positively to the team's success.

"I am pleased to be back in action because I have been working hard and learning from my mistakes during my time off," Mdantsane noted.

In preparation for the upcoming matches, Chiefs may rely on midfielder Samkelo Zwane, who is set to partner with Sibongiseni Mthethwa in the absence of suspended regular midfielders Yusuf Maart and Edson Castillo.

Kick-off on Saturday is 15:30 while the evening match on Tuesday the 2nd of April 2024 will kick-off at 19:30.
