Amakhosi's latest acquisition Mduduzi Mdantsane has opened up about how he deals with the pressure of playing for the Glamour Boys.

Mdantsane joined Chiefs ahead of the new season from Cape Town City fulfilling his childhood dream of always wanting to play for the Soweto giants.

So far the former Baroka FC player has been influential in the gold and black colours of Chiefs starting in three of the four DStv Premiership matches Chiefs has played in the 2023/24 season.

While Mdantsane has also provided an assist in the MTN8 quarter-final against Cape Town City, the 28-year old has revealed how he deals with the enormous amount of pressure of playing for the Soweto giants.

"Well it is not that difficult to handle the pressure and expectations if you are strong mentally because you have to stay calm as a player and always try to focus, the pressure is always there so it's just up to you as a player how do you deal with it," Mdantsane said.

With the club enduring an eight-year trophy drought, the Mpumalanga born-player has also reiterated that the Chiefs fans deserve some silverware this season as they have been patient enough.

"The fans deserve more, and we, as the players, also deserve more and to win, one thing that is very key to the team is to win trophies, those are the demands of wearing a Kaizer Chiefs jersey," Mdantsane added.

Mdantsane will hope to help his side to victory when they face Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday evening at Athlone Stadium.

Kick-off in that encounter is 19:30.
