Molefi Ntseki defends Ranga Chivaviro

Despite having a rather slow start in the gold and black colours of Kaizer Chiefs, Molefi Ntseki still believes Ranga Chivaviro is a quality striker and he will turn his fortunes around.

Chivaviro joined Chiefs at the beginning of the new season from Marumo Gallants where he scored 17 goals in the process.

With Chivaviro struggling to find his goalscoring boots since arriving at Amakhosi, Ntseki reiterated that it’s only a matter of time before he reproduces that sort of form that earned him a move to the Soweto giants.

“I think it’s about recovery, we never had Ranga with us in pre-season, he just came in and trained on his own but with the team in camp, so I think it’s been more about recovery for him because he played 72 minutes against Chippa, and we are fully aware that he is not going to be as quick, as light, as mobile as expected at least for now.

We will work on him and as soon as his confidence is good, he will deliver for the club because he is a quality striker," Ntseki said.

Chivaviro will hope to get off the mark for the Glamour Boys when they play against Cape Town City on Sunday in the MTN 8 quarter-final clash at the Athlone Stadium.
