Thabo Mooki urges Amakhosi fans to be patient with Arthur Zwane

Kaizer Chiefs legend Thabo Mooki has called for patience from the Chiefs faithful ahead of the new DStv Premiership season.

Mooki who also Chiefs' current head coach's teammate in the early 2000's has also backed Zwane in his bid of reclaiming the glory days back at Amakhosi.

This follows Zwane's maiden season at Naturena seeing him finish fifth on the log as well as failing to end Chiefs' trophy drought in the process.

With the Amakhosi faithful calling for the resignation of Zwane as the club's head coach, Mooki is optimistic that with a bit of patience, things could get better next season.

"It is a process and it's also a journey and unfortunately it’s not an easy one, as you know Zwane has been trying to build a team, he has been trying to work with the material that he has to make sure he finds the right combinations.

Obviously it will be difficult, it’s not easy with the pressure he has but we will see how the next season pans out,” said Mooki.

While Zwane has been under-fire in his maiden season, the Glamour Boys have already started to boost their squad ahead of the new season and Mooki is adamant that the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season will provide the much anticipated turnaround.

"It's also about patience and at the same time, the pressure is needed as well so that one doesn’t have to relax because the fans want results and positive results so I believe this new season will come with those positive results.

We just have to see next season which new players they add to the squad that we have so that we also try and find a winning team," Mooki added.
