Thatayaone Ditlhokwe believes things will turn around for Amakhosi

Kaizer Chiefs defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe believes it's still early days to write off Amakhosi as the Soweto giants are languishing on position 13 in the DStv Premiership table.

Speaking during Chiefs' press conference on Thursday afternoon Ditlhokwe alluded that the team is still new with a lot of faces and a new coach as well, so once everyone has fully settled in then Amakhosi will manage to turn around their fortunes.

“It’s about gelling together, knowing each other, knowing the strengths and weakness, working on those weaknesses so that they can turn to strengths.

Obviously, we are joining other new players so we can understand each other and It’s not something that will click on there and there rather it's something that needs training and perfection and perfection comes only through training and playing games," Ditlhokwe said.

The Botswana international also reiterated that football is a team sport therefore they shouldn’t point fingers if mistakes are done by an individual player.

"Football is a team sport and everybody must be together and not point fingers when one has made mistakes because if we win, we win together and if we lose, we lose together,” Ditlhokwe added.

Having already made four appearances in the gold and black colours of Chiefs, Ditlhokwe will be keen on making sure that he helps his side obtain a clean sheet on Saturday when they play against AmaZulu.

Kick-off at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening is 17:30.
