"The history is for the historians and the future is for Kaizer Chiefs" - Molefi Ntseki

Ahead of the MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday afternoon at FNB Stadium, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has urged the Chiefs fans to remain calm amid concerns of the club's 8 years trophy drought.

Ntseki was addressing members of the media on Thursday afternoon at the PSL headquarters in Johannesburg when he boldly stated that the current crop of Kaizer Chiefs players is on the verge of creating their own history and creating a better future for the club.

With Amakhosi seeking to win a piece of silverware for the first time since 2015, Ntseki believes there is no better motivation that the Glamour Boys need rather than wanting to create a better future for themselves and the club.

"What is currently happening now at Kaizer Chiefs is at we working on the concept of three C's, let us be calm, courageous and confident, we are not so much focused on the past but we are focused on writing a new history however, we are also aware that this new history comes with a lot of challenges and personality challenges as well.

That is why our players always look forward to being in the starting XI because I have told my players that nobody is going to put you in the starting XI but as players they need to prove to themselves and fight to be in the starting XI and that can only be achieved when they are calm, courageous and confident, so the history is for the historians and the future is for Kaizer Chiefs," Ntseki said.

Chiefs head to the MTN8 semi-final clash at the back of two back-to-back victories in the DStv Premiership.

Kick-off on Saturday afternoon is 15:00 o'clock.
