Tim Sukazi confirms Kaizer Chiefs' interest

TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi has finally broken the silence on Kaizer Chiefs acquiring the signature of TS Galaxy's captain Given Msimango.

Amid a lot speculations that Msimango has signed for Kaizer Chiefs, Sukazi has reiterated that Chiefs have shown interest in capturing Msimango and as TS Galaxy they have approved.

Msimango who is still contracted to TS Galaxy on a long term deal is arguably TS Galaxy’s best player at the moment and Sukazi explains why they had to sacrifice losing their captain to Amakhosi.

"The project of TS Galaxy is just in its teething phase, we are just in our third season in the top flight football and we have played two full seasons, being realistic is our priority in regards with how we manage our business model and how we are going to build the business model," Sukazi said.

Likening the transfer of Msimango to Chiefs to that of Tottenham Hotspur selling Gareth Bale to Real Madrid in 2013 for world record transfer fee of £85.1 million (€100.8 million), Sukazi believes with that model, growth is imminent for any developing football club.

"Part of our model is to follow the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, since they sold one of their best players at that time to Real Madrid, they have became stronger and stronger and even contending for the UEFA Champions League almost every season.

"That's the model, there's no other better model unless you have endless money, the project stands to sustain if your rules are very firm and if it is allowed to grow organically more than buying success." Sukazi added.

Meanwhile during Amakhosi's press conference last week Thursday head coach Arthur Zwane alluded Kaizer Chiefs has identified players that will boost their squad for next season however, no official announcement has been made as yet.
