William Shongwe believes Amakhosi's latest striker will succeed at the club

Kaizer Chiefs legend William Shongwe believes Ranga Chivaviro is destined for greatness at Naturena.
Chivaviro is among eight players that Chiefs have signed for the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season as the Soweto giants are aiming at bringing some silverware in their trophy cabinet this season.
With Chivaviro yet to make the desired impact in the gold and black colours of Kaizer Chiefs, Shongwe believes the former Marumo Gallants talisman is a signing Chiefs’ dressing room has yearned for since the departure of Samir Nurkovic.
"Chivaviro is going to be a star, he is not the greatest of the players and not so skillful but he is the original number nine, he is like the likes of Marks Maponyane, who are always there in the finishing part of the game.
He doesn’t run all over the place, he is concentrated and focused on the number nine position and that is finishing, he is that bully type of a striker which Chiefs have not had for quite a while," Shongwe said.
Chivaviro scored 17 goals in all competitions last season for Marumo Gallants and 10 of his goals came in the DStv Premiership, with seven strikes in the CAF Confederation Cup, where Marumo Gallants reached the semi-finals of the competition.
Chiefs next play TS Galaxy on Sunday the 20th of August 2023 at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
