"Winning the Nedbank Cup would mean the world to me" - Cavin Johnson

Kaizer Chiefs' interim coach Cavin Johnson believes winning the Nedbank Cup and ending Amakhosi's 9-years trophy drought will mean the world to him.

During the Nedbank Cup Press Conference on Thursday afternoon at the PSL Headquarters in Johannesburg, Johnson was oozing with confidence ahead of the Soweto giants' Nedbank Cup last 32 fixture against Milford FC on Sunday night.

"Winning the Nedbank Cup would mean the world to me and the many Kaizer Chiefs faithful hence it is part of our mandate to make sure that we go out there on Sunday and start this Nedbank Cup competition on a high note.

It is obviously known that here at Kaizer Chiefs we want to win every trophy that is why I believe if I was here from the beginning I would have put emphasis on the fact that we need to win every trophy available," Johnson said.

With Amakhosi already having missed out on the MTN 8 and the Carling Knockout Cup while they are also 14 points behind Mamelodi Sundowns who are currently sitting at the summit of the table in the DStv Premiership, Johnson concedes the Nedbank Cup is the only available trophy Chiefs can potentially win this season.

Ahead of the match, Amakhosi will be without the services of Sfiso Hlanti due to suspension while Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Edmilson Dove and George Matlou are still out injured.

Kick-off at the FNB Stadium on Sunday night is 18:00 o'clock.
